Please forward my condolences to Bobs wife.
He and I served together as Governing Councillors on the PREIA in the 80’s.
He will be missed.
Kind regards
Chris McMahon
So sad!

Sad news.
Bob-E was certainly one of the great characters of the OTC family.

This is devastating news…
Jennie, we are so sorry to hear the sad news of Bob’s passing.
Bob was the first person I met in OTC on my first day of work. We were both farmed out to the PMG for training for 4 years with many field training adventures together.
Our paths crossed many times, but working together in Perth on the new DMS exchange was memorable. Bob’s wit & enthusiasm to life was infectious.
Bob will be sadly missed.

Please pass my condolences to Jennie.
RIP Bob E.

I’m so sorry to hear this news of Bob Emanuel’s passing.
I knew both he and Ken Theaker in my Elisabeth St days and they both were great support for someone just starting out.at OTC.
Please pass on my condolences to their families.

i have had to contemplate this sad news before responding.
Bob did not deserve this nor did his wife Jennie.
Bob was one very smart man with whom I had the pleasure of working when I was a Product Manager/Marketing Manager in the ‘late 80’s and those dreadful early 90’s.
He was also the recipient of all of my radio valves (octal) to use in his old radio fixing.
I cannot imagine how hard/frustrating the last of his life must have been for him so wish him peace.
Rob McAulay.
Jennie,
Thank you for sharing Bob’s funeral service with myself and the OTC folk who could come along yesterday.
I found it a sad time, though not nearly as sad as you would be feeling, but good to hear of Bob’s life and times from your perspective.
It’s important to celebrate these times and the times we all shared with him.
His stroke was a cruel blow to the gregarious person he was. He was always so cheery when he greeted me as “Gregie”, at OTC or later Worldcom
I would be pleased if you could share a photo or two, that I may include in the OTVA Newsletter for March 2026. I’m hoping to have someone write a few kind words to include, rather than his plain funeral notice.
Keep well, If I or the OTC folk can help in any way, please call myself or Peter Bull (04 1126 0542), or any or his colleagues you know of.
Greg Martyn (OTVA Editor)
