Allan McPherson has advised of the passing of ERIC COCKLE on probably Saturday 9 December 2017.
Eric finished his over 40 year employment in OTC at the level of Senior Accountant. I do not recall having the pleasure of meeting Eric personally but have been told that he was a very nice person who was well liked and respected by his many friends and colleagues. He apparently enjoyed a good game of bowls.

The funeral service will be held for Eric on Wednesday 20th December 2017 at 11:00am at Leura Gardens Cemetery Chapel in the Blue Mountains.

The passing of Eric Cockle is very sad news, at this time of the year for all who had worked with him, and his family.
Eric was one of my first supervisors in OTC way back in 1964.
He was a very nice fellow, very helpful with a great sense of humour and well respected by his staff.
He loved playing bowls, and in fact on his retirement all the accounting staff presented him with a new set of bowls, which he was very proud of.
Unfortunately, I have a family commitment on 20th December and cannot be there to pay my respect for a great work colleague and friend.

Let me assure you that, despite his being one of the dreaded bean-counters, he was always a lovely bloke, ever willing to help.
Sad to see him go.
